From Raising Arizona Kids:
DVD shows how to travel with kids

An Arizona family has documented what they learned during a trip to the Caribbean in a new "Travel With Kids Caribbean" DVD. Part of the Travel Guide Series produced by Phoenix-based Equator Creative Media, the DVD is designed to help families get the most out of a trip to exotic island destinations including Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Croix and the British Virgin Islands. Viewers follow the Roberts family of Phoenix as they explore historical, cultural and tropical sights (an old sugar plantation, rain forest habitats, a marine park, a castle once inhabited by pirates), swim with dolphins and take part in an undersea exploration by submarine.

The DVD features pop-up facts, local recipes, some foreign language instruction and other information designed to help families maximize their travel experience. It offers tips about family-friendly accommodations and transportation, what to pack and medical concerns along with general suggestions for the challenge of traveling with kids. The DVD recently won a 2006 Excellent Products media award from iParenting and a Telly Award for excellence in video production and children's video. It has earned endorsement from KIDS First and the family media "seal of approval" from the Dove Foundation. "Travel With Kids Caribbean" runs 63 minutes and retails for $14.95 at Borders, amazon.com and islandtots.com/dvd.
