South Africa offers families the perfect combination of adventure travel and luxury. And with a colorful culture, rich history and amazing nature, it’s one of our favorite destinations. It was the site of our first Travel With Kids Family Adventure tour, which is one of the many reasons we are so excited to go back this summer! This summer’s itinerary will take us to different places in South Africa including the Soweto Township and Madikwe Game Reserve. Plus, take advantage of an optional add-on to visit Zambia and the world famous, one of the Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls!

Take advantage of ten years of family travel experience from the Travel With Kids television series on-camera family and production team! They have planned the whole trip for you and will help you with timeline reminders, packing lists and parental tips for traveling with kids! During the 1980’s, Soweto was famous as the center of resistance to apartheid and was the site of the 1976 Student Uprising. Now, a peaceful place, Soweto is a center of culture and packed with museums. We will visit the Nelson Mandela House and the Apartheid Museum, which will give valuable insight into the history of South Africa. A tour through the temporary settlement is eye opening to the very real poverty that exists in Africa and show kids what is being done to help combat that poverty. Kids will enjoy meeting local kids in the school and Kliptown Youth Project. Deliver school supplies collected through the RePack Project to kids in need in Soweto.
